Special Meeting on Liquor License Application

We are hosting a special meeting to address the concerns raised about the liquor license application of The Boom Boom Room from Jim Callahan with Jupiter Cafe LLC at 500 N. 14th St.

We will meet in the Central Library’s Training Room on the 2nd floor near the Locust Street entrance on Wednesday, April 29 at 6:30pm.

The owners of The Boom Boom Room will be on hand to address DNA members, and we will also have someone on hand to explain how neighborhoods can affect liquor license applications and what the concerns with this establishment are.

April Happy Hour on the Landing

This month’s happy hour will be taking place near the riverfront on Laclede’s Landing at Drunken Fish on Thursday, April 30 beginning at 5:30pm. They are offering discounted food and drinks to all DNA members and guests. This is a great way to support our downtown businesses and meet your neighbors all while having a good time.

DNA Event at Art St. Louis

Join us for a facilitated tour of the Art St. Louis Gallery in the back of the Mississippi Mud Coffee Shop on Saturday, April 25 at 11am. The gallery’s curator and local artists will be on hand to speak about the exhibition and guide DNA members and guests through the gallery.

Family Movie Night

Kids, big and little, are invited to attend our family movie night at the Downtown Central Library to watch The Book of Life (rated PG) on Thursday, April 2. The show will begin at 7pm, and it is free to all.

This is the first of many family friendly events DNA will begin hosting. We have a growing population of families downtown, and we want to make sure there are affordable activities for them to participate in.
